Our principal, Robert F. Rhyder, is a former vice president of quality for the Hamilton Beach/Proctor-Silex Company. A mechanical engineer, he has also been director of engineering for a bearing company, and has held positions of responsibility in engineering, quality, and supervisory capacities in a variety of industries. An ASQ-Certified Quality Engineer and an ASQ-Certified Six Sigma Black Belt, he has more than twenty years of experience in the practical application of process optimization and designed experimentation techniques in a variety of manufacturing environments.

An expert at process optimization, Mr. Rhyder is the author of Manufacturing Process Design and Optimization, ©1997, Marcel Dekker. The work covers process design principles, problem-solving techniques for simple and complex processes, and the practical application of designed experimentation in real-world settings.
